STARRATT & JENKS - MORGAN  1978  45 FEET ASKING $15,000us
"SELLER FINANCING AVAILABLE"
This is a poplular fast design, built on the Morgan hull. This boat was in the family for years cruising in Florida when it was brought here for refit, but the owner has lost interest. The interior needs a lot of attention, but shows worse because a rebuilt engine is being installed. The owner has opened up the salon and removed all the headliner (wood) to create more headroom and space. Power is a Perkins 4108 (just spent $2000), zero time on rebuild.  Transmission - is reported in good condition.
Hull looks good with some corrosion showing on the lower keel and probably has an iron keel.
Mast and boom are on deck and appear good, but the spreaders are missing.
Stantions and lifelines were cut for transport and are missing. There is a SS pulpit and davits. Rigging is available, but might be original. There are two 45 lb. Danforth style anchors (reported). There are also cushions, Dodger bows.
The boat is currently in a secure yard with electricity and water, and can remain while a new owner works on the vessel. The rent would be 1000 pesos (half of total) per month plus electricity and water charges. There is room for a camper or motorhome. This lot is close to town.

The boat is sitting on the hard in San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico. This is an easy safe 250 mile drive South of Nogales AZ on a an excellent road. There is a lot of marine support here and is a cruisers spot for marinas and storage.
This project offers someone with finishing carpentry skills and excellent opportunity to get a blue water vessel cheaply with some sweat equity. These boats are sought after and generally get from $70k -$120k on the water. Owner is supplying pictures before refit began.
The boat looks rough as they have been changing out the engine which is not an easy task in most sailboats.
This offer comes with an economical place to finish your boat on your schedule, just bring your camper/motorhome and tools.
