BAIA B43 1991 PROJECT - ASKING $15,000us
"SELLER FINANCING AVAILABLE"
This vessel is an Italian design and build, with few models in North America. This one sank at the dock during a hurricane with a week passing before it could be floated. There is no hull damage and the interior looks like it could be cleaned and restored. The cushions are all below. This model has the huge master cabin, galley, large head/shower, guest cabin with bunks and main cabin. There is also a crews quarters and separate head forward, and accessible through a deck hatch. The twin engines were CAT 3205 rated at 425 hp each. These engines are apart and not considered salvageable, but included. The transmissions are also out and perhaps could be serviceable. The dual Arneson surface drives are still connected and serviceable. There are relatively new (100 hour) surface piercing props still mounted on the drives. These drives alone are worth the asking price.
The electronics may have remained above water but should be considered lost. The boat and engine room are a mess and need a good cleaning before work assessment could be organized.
These boats are considered the Ferrari of the sea in Europe and fetch from $125k up floating and running of course.
The hull and deck looks good and the interior is better than I expected and worth salvaging.
The boat is currently in a secure yard with electricity and water, and can remain while a new owner works on the vessel. The rent would be 1000 pesos (half of total) per month plus electricity and water charges. There is room for a camper or motorhome. This lot is close to town.
This offer comes with an economical place to finish your boat on your schedule, just bring your camper/motorhome and tools.
If you're looking for a project opportunity for a sport cruiser, live aboard, party boat, this could be the project for you.
